Configuration, application state, and structured metadata often end up behind different interfaces, even when the underlying task is navigating a hierarchy.
The approach
ConfigX explores a shared interface through dot-separated keypaths and ConfigXQL. The alpha focuses on basic operations over branches and values, with persistence described through snapshots and a write-ahead log.
The engineering choice
The query surface makes hierarchy explicit. More ambitious features—AI-assisted queries, schema enforcement, and batch transactions—are described as future scope rather than capabilities of the current alpha.
Alpha software. AI reasoning, advanced wildcard queries, and other roadmap features are not presented as shipped.
